What is a good FIRST credit card to apply for, for teens?

My son is almost 18 and we are thinking about getting him his very first credit card just to start building his credit. We went through the whole long talk about responsibility with it, and I do believe he has learned from us to be smart with money and hopefully credit cards, as well (Fingers crossed!) What would be a good first credit card to apply for to start building a teens credit?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Go for any credit card that enables your teen to spend on the basic items he would need and inturn offers certain returns to him. Be sure to let your teen know the responsibility and troubles that come with it.
